Profile of Lead Trainer/Facilitator
John Appiah is an entrepreneur, human capital development specialist and youth empowerment enthusiast. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon. He is a Fellow with the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Center (RLC) West Africa.
He is the Managing Director of Koforidua Clinic, which is a Medical Facility based in Koforidua that provides health services to the people in Koforidua and its surrounding towns. He is the co-founder and CEO of A-League Consult which is an independent human capital development training provider. He is also the founder and president of the Africa Chamber For Youth Development which is Africa’s premier youth development hub that has the overall goal of being the one stop chamber where youth leaders undergo training, capacity building and skills enhancement.
In 2018, John Appiah was named by the Speakers’ Bureau of Africa as one of the Top 100 Influential Speakers in Ghana. John has over 10 years of experience having worked in various high profile communication roles in Ghana for organizations including British High Commission (as Communications Manager), Invest in Africa (as Marketing Manager), Joy FM (as Producer for the Super Morning Show), TV3 & 3FM (as Anchor/Presenter/Producer).
John Appiah is the Board Chairman of Days for Girls International Ghana. John is the communications consultant for the Young Diplomats of Ghana and the International Perspective for Policy and Governance(IPPG) Africa. He also is a volunteer for Junior Achievement Ghana supporting in preparing students in the senior high schools for the 21st century workforce by educating them in entrepreneurial skills, work readiness and financial literacy.
